Whomever thought it was a clever idea to send home musical recorders with nine year olds should be feathered and tarred at the first light of dawn.
Seriously teachers-
Is it not enough that we wake up at 6 AM to get them ready to ship off to school?
Is it not enough that we do 1 1/2 to 2 hours of homework with them nightly?
Is it not enough that we carried them for 9 months and then had to go through intensive labor to bring them into this world?
Then you have to go and send home a MUSICAL RECORDER? THAT I SENT A CHECK IN FOR?
WHY?
Why must you torture us parents?
Have them play it during school hours
I might have to post new house rules.
New House Rules:
No playing of the new musical recorder in the house or it will be flushed down the toilet.
No playing of the new musical recorder in the garage or it will be burned with fire.
No playing of the new musical recorder in the yard or it will be chopped into pieces.
No playing of the new musical recorder in the car or it will be snapped in half.
I think that sums it up....
Oh By the way- did I mention that I have a headache? I think that is what sums it up:)

Oh my this is great!!! I think I know how you feel. I went to a birthday party for a little gal in our church yesterday after service. It was at Chucky Cheese - I literally was there for 10 mins. I said to everyone around me "This is crazy - coming to Chucky Cheese on my day AWAY from kids is too much!!!" I think I had 12 kids step on my feet before I got to the door. I was never mor thankful for the noise of traffic!!!!

I think recorders are the best!!!! Did you ever play Greensleeves? Probably not.The best thing in the world is a 9 year old recorder concert. All 30 of them playing at once. Perhaps if you would learn to appreciate all music you would see the beauty in a recorder....
Of course you know I am just joking with you
LOL Okay that would be the worst a recorder concert - YIKES :)
That's hilarious!!!! I am a nanny and all my kids play them!! It is insanity and horrible......
